At our practice, we use clear aligners to straighten your teeth quickly. You can choose from two popular brands: Invisalign and SureSmile. These discreet orthodontic solutions mean you won’t spend years wearing braces.
However, not everyone is a good candidate for aligners. That’s why Dr. Lee will begin by taking digital X-rays and scans of your teeth. You may need a different solution to treat your smile most effectively. If it’s purely a cosmetic problem, you may want dental veneers. They are an even faster solution for straight teeth.
If aligners are right for you, here is what you can expect:
- Using our digital scanner, we will take impressions of your teeth. This information is used to create your custom aligners.
- Your clear aligners are made at a special lab. When they are ready, you will pick them up at our office.
- You’ll wear each aligner set for a few weeks. You’ll then switch to the next aligners in your treatment plan. Keep in mind, you’ll need to wear your aligners 20 to 22 hours a day.
- You will visit our practice every six to eight weeks for checkups. It’s how we make sure everything is going smoothly.
- After 12 to 18 months, your treatment will be complete. We’ll create a custom retainer, so you can maintain the beautiful results of your orthodontics.
